| The lesson of Patriotism teaches us to be true to our country. We often think of service to our country as just military service, but this is not the only way we can serve our country. Patriotism's lesson has a place in all of our lives and is demonstrated when we vote, when we serve in elected office, when we participate in electoral campaigns, or work in public service.
In short, Patriotism teaches us to be a proud citizen of our country, to respect its flag, and to defend it through military service when called to do so.
